Let’s turn up the heat! 🔥🔥🔥
Get ready to get a little bit sexy, a little bit sweaty, and have a lot of fun in this interactive chair dance workshop! In this workshop you will learn a piece of choreography to a popular song, using a chair as your prop. This workshop is great for beginners, and no previous dance experience is required to join. All you need is a fun, positive attitude and your sexy self!
Chair dance is a great way to build confidence and have fun moving your body! This workshop will include step-by-step instructions for learning a piece of choreography, as well as time for a warm-up, time to practice, time for questions, and then a final “dance out”. (Modifications for any moves can most definitely be provided, this is an all levels class!)
What to Wear: Wear something you feel comfortable moving in. It can be cosplay, a cute workout set, pajamas… whatever you feel comfortable, confident, and sexy in!
Eva (@amethyst_cos) is a long-time cosplayer and con-goer from Toronto, Ontario. Cosplay has been one of her main creative outlets for the past 10 years, and is responsible for many of her self-taught skills like sewing, pattern drafting, 3D printing, patience (for when the project inevitably goes sideways), and confidence in herself!
Eva attended cons for a few years before starting her own cosplay journey in 2015. Once she started cosplaying she fell in love with it, devoting most of her free time towards it. She loves to attend community events in cosplay, bring her favourite characters from movies and games to life, and attend photoshoots and conventions with friends! In the future she would love the opportunity to participate in more community volunteering events as a way to give back to the community!
After Covid Eva was looking for a fun way to gain strength and move her body and began attending classes for Aerial Arts and Dance in Toronto, Ontario. Since starting classes she’s gained new confidence and even participated as a performer in the showcases held at the studio! She is looking forward to having fun dancing in the chair dance workshop with you all!
